The 264th Annual Parish Meeting of St. Peter’s Church, Cheshire, CT
Annual Meeting and Election of Leaders
A Message from Rev. Mo Lederman
Dear Friends,
Notice is hereby given that the 264th Annual Parish Meeting of St. Peter’s Church, Cheshire, CT will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 10 am in the Parish Hall.
We will celebrate Holy Communion Service at 9 am to allow all to attend the annual meeting at 10 am.
The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity for all members of the congregation to receive reports about our parish life and programs and to elect parish officers and members of the Vestry. This year you will also be asked to approve Amendments (shown in bold below) to St. Peter’s Parish By-Laws, specifically:
By-Law IV. The Vestry shall consist of the Rector or Priest-in-Charge, one Senior Warden, one Junior Warden, and nine Vestry members.
And
By-Law VIII. Except as provided below, the Vestry shall hold regular monthly meetings in the months of September through June, except January, in which month the Vestry shall meet a week prior to the Annual Parish Meeting. Special meetings may be called by the Rector or by three members of the Vestry. A quorum shall consist of six members: in determining a quorum, the Rector and Wardens shall be counted if present.
These amendments require parish approval at the 2024 Annual Meeting.
In the Resources section on right you will find:
- A list of Responsibilities and Guidelines for Elected Officers.
- A document with a complete list of offices to be filled
- A nomination form for nominations from members*
