Women's Faith Sharing
Women’s Faith Sharing is women gathering in a supportive and safe environment, sharing our walk in faith through reading, conversation, prayer, and lots of laughter. Learn more
Prayer Team
We support members of our faith community, and their extended families and friends, in times of illness, loss, or any kind of difficulty.
Quilters
We make quilts in thanksgiving for members of the parish and for those in need of prayers. We also present quilts to baptismal families and individuals. The Quilters have had another successful year – presenting quilts to twenty people and seven to baptismal candidates. This year is this ministry’s twenty-second year.
Please consider joining us on Thursday mornings in the St. Peter’s parish hall. Long-term commitment is not necessary – come once, come often. Sewing ability is not required. Please stop by. For more information.
Donations of money, fabric store cards or fabric are appreciated. We thank the ECW and several other parishioners for donations. The printed fabric is cotton or cotton/poly, 72 inches long and 42 inches wide. For children we make a quilt 45 – 54 inches long and 42 inches wide. The backing fleece is of a coordinating color, usually 54 inches wide. We often find our fabrics at JoAnn Fabrics.
St. Peter's Men's Group
Calling the men of St. Peter’s! We have established a men’s group for bible study and exploring what it means to us to follow in Jesus’ footsteps in the modern world. Contact Chris Morris with questions (wcmorris628@gmail.com).
Yarn Crafts Club
The Yarn Crafts Club is a chance to sit in community, talk, laugh and make things together. Bring your own materials, or we’ll have some on site.

Outreach
The St. Peter’s Outreach team is a group that supports efforts at the parish, local, national and international levels. At the international level, we have supported a boy through El Holgar for many years. Regionally, we have a strong partnership with the Greter Waterbury Interfaith Ministries, where we make both monetary and food donations regularly. We also work in partnership with a Department of Children and Families social worker to assist individuals and families in need, donating clothes, school supplies, household items and other requested items. We also support a Christmas Giving Tree effort, providing gifts for children who have a parent who is incarcerated.
Chapel on the Green
Contacts Wendy Ciaburri
Several times a year St. Peter’s joins Trinity on the Green in New Haven to support their open-air ministry where 52 Sundays a year, in every weather condition, this outdoor congregation, of housed and unhoused, shares God’s compassion through community, worship and breaking bread. We make sandwiches following our 10:30 service, then travel to New Haven to participate in worship and distribute food at the Green.
