CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMMING

Your children will learn about faith, the Bible, service to the community, fellowship, and caring for the earth. They will discover that they are loved unconditionally by God and that they are heirs to a rich tradition of faith as followers of Christ. They will participate in age-appropriate, enriching and fun curriculums that teach the lessons and stories of the Christian tradition.

  • Our Church School Year Is September through June.
  • Nursery Care is available for children up to 2½ years old between 9 and 11 am every Sunday during the summer, except when the worship service is outside.
  • All church personnel and volunteers are required to attend SAFE CHURCH training – CLICK HERE to learn more.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children’s Worship – Grades 1-6

Children’s Worship is a hands-on worship service for children grades 1-6.  Children will learn to understand the scriptures and find relevance in their daily lives. They will gain comfort with the structure of the church service when they are in the main sanctuary with their parents. The children participate in the lesson, by reading the scripture, the Lord’s Prayer, and enjoy an active discussion about that day’s reading. Then we have a lesson and activity on the reading, learning how to follow God’s Word in everyday life. The activities vary, sometimes learning through drama, a game, or a craft. In addition, the children also have opportunities to gather together for stewardship projects, our Christmas Pageant as well as inter-generational events for the whole family and parish.

GODLY PLAY

Godly Play (ages 3 years old through kindergarten) introduces our younger children to bible stories in a hands-on, age-appropriate setting. The children learn about Noah, Jonah, Moses, and other favorite stories of the Bible through a story, craft, and activities.

Nursery

Nursery Care is available for children three and under who have not yet had experience with preschool. The nursery is open every Sunday during the church school year, from 9 -11 am.  We have lots of toys and books and safe, happy fun!  The nursery is upstairs in the education wing, at the far end of the hall. You must sign your children in; they will be brought down to the worship service following the Prayers of the People.

Youth Programs

Our programs for middle and high school kids and young adults strive to continue their engagement with the parish community as they mentor the younger youth, plan outreach activities in the community, and participate in parish ministries. There is the opportunity for one member of this group to serve on the vestry.
