2026 Stewardship Campaign

And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in my God my savior…” Luke 1:46-47
Dear St. Peter’s Family,
Our Stewardship campaign give us a chance to reflect on the many ways that we are connected to each other. This year’s theme is “Tell Out My Soul” and we will be focused on the stories we tell and the ways we are called to share our words, actions, love, and joy with the world. This year, with all that has been going on in our homes, schools and offices, our country and the world, the one constant has been the connections we have formed here at St. Peter’s.
So, what is my St. Peter’s story? In the past year I have found myself with a people who love God and each other. Being here has made me a more faithful person and I am so grateful for each of you. This has been a year of huge transitions for our community. We have moved from a year without clergy to hiring someone who is halftime and we’ve been meeting the challenges to make that work with grace! We’ve had some beloved parishioners retire and move away. But what I am finding is that many, while living far away, maintain their connections here and truly miss the St. Peter’s community. I have experienced moments of joy, like watching Hilda dance while Chris plays her accordion at the Christmas Bazaar. I have seen the impact on the community; in programs we partner with such as Best Buddies and ReRead books. I have witnessed care for those in need during our monthly food collection and through our gifts for children in December.
Sunday morning is my favorite time of the week. Worshipping together, inspired by our choir, I feel close to God. And I see God’s face in the faces of children as they return from Sunday School. I have experienced gratitude as we gathered our senior community for Eucharist and lunch. I have watched those called to a deeper faith being confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church. And I have heard a hunger for a deeper relationship with God. There are so many moments of grace and joy. And I am grateful that I have been called to walk through this journey with you.
Our campaign this year asks us to share two big things with St. Peter’s. First, we are asked to continue to share our gifts. Those ideas and talents and passions that God has planted inside you are grown in your generous heart to be shared with the world. Second you are asked to share your story with us and with the world around you.
That is how we grow God’s kingdom and cast the net wider.
Our stories bring us together. Each of us has a story to tell, a reason why we found this congregation and continue to participate. As you consider your pledge this year, I ask you to think, “What is my St. Peter’s story? What has brought me here? What continues to feed my soul? How have I found a community in which to share my love of God and how can I manifest these blessings?”
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Mo
