Fight Food Waste

In the United States We Waste up to 40% of Our Food.

A Workshop Presented by The Active Hope Action Team

The team welcomes new members. Our first 2024 meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7 pm in the St. Peter’s library. All are welcome to join us and help make action plans for the new year. Parking is available, please enter through the entrance at the back of the building. (Although we meet in a church, we are not religiously affiliated.)

You Can Make a Difference – quickly and powerfully – NOW.

The team worked together to offer an energetic, engaging workshop for the Cheshire community at the library. We focused on food waste because it’s important and actionable. Your everyday decisions can contribute to minimizing food waste. And you will save money doing it!

The presentation: We looked at five strategies to minimize your family’s food waste:

  • Plan Ahead
  • Supermarket . . . Adversary or Ally
  • Be a Storage Pro
  • Use the Food You Buy / Love leftovers
  • Food Dating/Food Safety

Please link to the Workshop PowerPoint for the entire presentation.
