Racial Reconciliation and Healing
Listen, Learn, Take Action.

Rev. Sandy Stayner will lead an ongoing book discussion group, which will begin with “Waking Up White”, by Debby Irving. The author describes her book:

“Waking Up White is the book I wish someone had handed me decades ago. My hope is that by sharing my sometimes cringe-worthy struggle to understand racism and racial tensions, I offer a fresh perspective on bias, stereotypes, manners, and tolerance.”

All are welcome to join us in a discussion in the St. Peter’s Prayer Garden, with physical distancing, on Sunday, July 5, at 5 pm. You do not need to have completed the book to join the discussion. We are all beginners in the work of self-discovery.

Waking Up White is sold out on Amazon, but the Kindle version is available. Barnes and Noble website and store locations show the paperback and Nook versions available.
